If there is a consistent theme to the sites I develop, it is an easy-to-use interface for the subscription of users to external mailing list providers. Providers such as Emma and Constant Contact provide users external API's which enable them to connect a sign-up process on their web site to the email sign-up process. This module bridges the gap between Drupal and Emma. It can be configured to allow web site visitors to register for email marketing campaigns hosted on Emma without having an account on your web site. Alternatively, you can configure the permissions of the block so that only authenticated members can see it, thereby restricting access to registered members.

A future module will extend the Drupal user registration process to include an opt-in for Emma mailing lists.
